Register
You will need to register first of all as a user on Firstnaija.com. Registration only takes a few minutes. Once your registration is approved, you can log in and start using your account.
Get Verified
To sell, you will need to get bank verified. Read more about bank verification here. Once verfified, you can start selling on Firstnaija.com.
Listing your item
To start selling, click on the 'Sell' button in top menu. This will take you to a Listing Wizard that will guide you through selecting the right category for your product. Fill in the relevant information about your item - always try to be as descriptive as possible about the the item.
Enter the item title. Be careful to follow the Firstnaija rules on titles - avoid using characters like #, &, : and ? in the item title.
Enter the description of the item you want to list. Make this as descriptive as possible - it is your chance to showcase your item. You can use the editor to format your description with different colours, fonts etc.
You can now enter details about your listing - item location, listing duration, pricing, start time, payment methods and whether you want to enter a reserve price. You can also add photos of your item.
Once you finish all that, you have an opportunity to review your listing, and make changes where necessary. if you are happy with your listing, simply click the Submit button, and your item is available for potential buyers.
Your item sold - what next?
When you sell an item, you have a Message Board, accessible from the members area, with which you can communicate with the buyer. You are obliged to ship the item to the buyer once payment has been made.
After-sale problems: What to do?
If you have problems with a buyer - for example you have not heard from them after 7 days - or the buyer has simply refused to pay for the item, you can take advantage of Firstnaija.com's Dispute Resolution process to sort out the issue.
